Birth Registration Card
A Birth Registration Card is a document that validates that the registration of birth of a newborn has been done correctly. It is different from a birth certificate since a birth registration card does not work as a document of identification. Not all states issue this card. It is mainly considered an obsolete document, considering that all legal paperwork does demand the possession of a birth certificate.
Having your baby registered is important. It is even contemplated as a basic human right, since without a registration the newborn is not considered as an existing being. Its registration is the first step for legal proof of identity and acknowledgment from the government, making them able to receive essential services like health care and education.
